Before 2014 ended, my colleagues played Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud several times in a day. When we met after the Christmas holidays, it was the first song they played in the office. Thus, in the first weekend of 2015 I drew a fanart featuring one verse of the song.
I never believed that the world will end on 2012. How can that be when there’s so much to look forward to on 2013? There’s the KPop Dream Concert on January 19, 2013 that I’ll be watching with MK and company. There’s the upcoming Iron Man 3 movie, the second season of Chihayafuru, the continuing saga of Hunter x Hunter and Bleach. So why would I ever think that Nostradamus’ prediction would happen?
But more to that is the fact that 2012 was a great year for me. A lot of blessing was bestowed upon me. God was so gracious I could not believe that He won’t let me experience His blessings for longer than a year.
I was promoted at work and received a high raise in salary. I think God won’t let that happen only to put an immediate stop to my flourishing career.
Also, there were so many things that I got to enjoy on 2012. I was able to watch a lot of good movies, dramas, series and animes. I read several books written by my favorite authors. I was able to draw good artworks and I was able to spend quality time with dear friends and family.
I think these were enough reasons for me to believe that there are so much more I’d be looking forward to beyond 2012. Thank you, Father God, for 2012 and I look forward to a greater and more fruitful 2013.
Happy New Year to everybody!
This artwork summarizes my 2012 fun activities – drawing, watching anything in tv and books!!!
2012 marked the 20th year anniversary of Yuyu Hakusho (English translation: Ghost Fighter). When it first aired in local TV, dubbed in our local language, I immediately knew I was going to be hooked by it, after all I was (and still am) an anime fan.
But instead of the main protagonist, Yusuke, I liked the redheaded character who turned out to be a bad ass in his previous life as the infamous demon fox, Youko Kurama. From then on, Kurama became one of my favorite anime characters. There was a time during my high school days that he had become the only model of my creativity. Well, not exactly Kurama. It’s actually Shuichi, his human form.
